Salah Signs New Five-Year Deal With Liverpool
Egyptian soccer star, Mohammed Salah, has recently agreed to a new super five-year deal with Liverpool. The contract will extend the winger stay at Anfield till 2023.
Reports say there was no release clause included in the contract.
The deal will see the former Roma player earn beyond £10m a year; the highest in the club’s history, though would be performance- based.
The 25-year-old player scored 43 goals for the club last season, including setting a new English Premier League record for most goals scored in a season when he netted 32 times.
He also scored 10 times in the Champions League, which propelled Liverpool to the final, but the team lost 3-1 to winners, Real Madrid.
However, Salah did not enjoyed a good campaign at the 2018 World Cup in Russia with the Egyptian National team. Though he scored two goals, the Pharaohs were eliminated in the group phase without winning a game.
