NCDC confirms 389 more coronavirus cases in Nigeria



The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 389 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Wednesday.
The 389 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 8733.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 116 patients from isolation centers across the country with five new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 256 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 3756.
Twenty three new cases were reported in Katsina, 23 in Edo, 14 in Rivers and 13 in Kano state.
Adamawa and Akwa Ibom recorded 11 new cases each while Kaduna recorded seven news cases.
Others are Kwara-6, Nasarawa-6, Gombe-2, Plateau-2, Abia-2, Delta-2, Benue-2, Niger-2, Kogi-2, Oyo-2, Imo-1, Borno-1, Ogun-1 and Anambra-1.
NCDC reports that there are 8733 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 2501 discharged and 254 deaths.
