Election Tribunal:Court Hears Atiku Petition Against Buhari Today

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja will open proceedings to hear the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar, who filed to challenge the results of the February 23 Presidential election.

The petitioners are asking the court to invalidate the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the election.

A pre-hearing session will be conducted by a five man panel of Justices of the Court of Appeal on the petition lodged by the PDP and their Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.

Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, President of the Court of Appeal might be incharge of proceedings.

The legal fire works  on the case will start by 9am today.
