Bandits kidnap Catholic Priest in Kaduna State

 Bandits have recently kidnapped a Catholic Reverend father, John Bako Shekwolo from Ankwa, Kachia local government area of Kaduna State.

The abducted Reverend father is the parish priest of St. Theresa Catholic church, Ankwa in Kachia local government. 

The disclosure of his kidnap was made in a statement issued by the Chancellor of the Kaduna Archdiocese, Reverend father Daniel Kyom .

According to the statement, Reverend father Shekwolo was said to have been kidnapped at his residence at about 12 midnight by unknown gunmen.

Reverend father Kyom who did not state whether or not a ransom has been placed on the kidnapped Reverend father, however requested for prayers of the faithful of the Archdiocese and beyond for his quick release .

” We also appeal to the conscience of those who abducted him to kindly release him unharmed”.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, efforts to reach the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), DSP Yakubu Sabo were futile as he was neither picking his calls nor responding to text messages sent to his mobile line.
