Igbo Canadian Community Endorses Atiku Abubakar For President

An Igbo Socio-cultural organisation based in Canada  the Igbo Canadian Community Association (ICCA/UMUNNA has thrown their weight behind the the candidacy of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (GCON) and Dr Peter Obi for the office of the President and Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
In a press statement made available to the media,the President of ICCA/UMUNNA  Ugochukwu Okoro ,Chairman Board ofTrustees Benjamin Allison disclosed that the association decided to give their support for the candidacy of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar after a well arrived conclusion that he is the best man for the job when  considerations into the state of the nation and the blurred horizon and increasing despair of ordinary Nigerians who are the worst affected by the current conditions of living in Nigeria.

In its far reaching decision to support the Adamawa state born politician,the Canadian based group saw the current state of the nation ,the increasing despair of the average Nigerian citizen whose future hangs in a state ofuncertaintity as the reasons why they believed an Atiku Presidency will augur well for the country.
The group ICCA/UMUNNA believes that as a bridge builder ,an  Atiku Presidency  will bring some measure of stability, calm and trust in governance and belief in our country which is going through a divisiveness that is as scary as it is gruesome the statement disclosed.
And with Nigeria today  embroiled  as  a government that has no misgivings about the welfare of the citizenry; an establishment which has shown an unrepentant penchant for nepotism ICCA/UMUNNA believes that the duo of Atiku/Obi ticket  are the economic surgeons that will put Nigeria on the recovery theatre and perform procedures that will make the economy become healthy again especially with the restructuring agenda which they have unveiled.
