YUDALA SHOW CLASS, PIP RENMONEY IN TOUGH ENCOUNTER

Yudala Eagles, the football team of composite e-commerce company, Yudala, has once again demonstrated its growing pedigree on the pitch after pipping their consumer finance counterparts, RenMoney to a 3-2 victory in a tough encounter on Saturday, March 17th 2018.
The much-anticipated match, played at the Legacy Pitch within the National Stadium, Surulere, certainly lived up to billing.
Spectators and a host of supporters from both Yudala and RenMoney turned out in their numbers to cheer their respective teams.
Yudala Eagles hit the back of the net in the 20th minute through a penalty kick awarded after Samuel Obi was brought down in the 18-yard box. Obi calmly dispatched the spot kick to put them in the lead.
Several attempts were made by both sides, all of which failed to hit the target, until Gabriel Elachi struck an unstoppable effort from distance in the 35th minute to double the lead.
Pressure from RenMoney intensified just before half-time as Fidelis Olisemedua capitalized on the confusion in Yudala’s 18-yard box to pull one back for the side. The first half ended 2-1 in favour of Yudala Eagles.
Upon resumption of the second-half, the pressure from RenMoney reached fever-pitch as the match progressed but OlufemiAdesoye was able to calm frayed Yudala nerves with another long-range strike that struck the bar and beat the goalkeeper to make it three for Yudala Eagles.
Tired legs were spotted and substitutions were made by both sides in order to gain an advantage.
OlajideOmotayo of RenMoney made several attempts to restore his team’s pride until a defensive error was committed by Yudala’s skipper Edmund Chidiebere which saw RenMoney grab a second goal.
The match ended 3-2 in favour of Yudala Eagles but the CEO of RenMoney, Ian Abrahams feels his team would have equalized and won the match if there was enough time. He however called for a rematch under his sponsorship and expressed optimism that his boys would do better.
The win saw Yudala Eagles continue their winning streak after a 1-0 defeat of TD Stars, the football team of ICT distribution power-house Technology Distributions Ltd.,in a previous friendly played in Gbagada.
