Armed robbers storm Lagos market in broad daylight

A group of armed robbers on Friday, November 10, stormed Iyana-Iba market in Ojo local government area of Lagos, robbing traders and passers-by. The robbers reportedly carted away phones and other valuables from roadside traders. The robbers attacked the traders and passers-by on Friday afternoon, shooting into the air as they beat up those who refused to part with their valuables
One of the witnesses who spoke with Premium Times correspondents said: "We noticed everybody was running and I ran too. The thief passed by, kicked at the glasses and took away the phones." Some of the affected traders also complained that the military operatives stationed at the Iyana-Iba roundabout did not come to the people's aide during the robbery.
